any military veterans?

I'm a vet struggling with a number of medical situations as it is. On top of that, the DOD has been sh*tting all over me and making my life as miserable as they can. If you're a veteran, thanks for serving and please send me a message.

I'm not in the military but I feel for you. My hubby got injured on the job too. And he is a federal employee. Workman's comp wasn't doing shit for us so we went to a lawyer. He told us that there is no legal recourse for federal employees and the military. If you get injured you have to just try to fight workmans comp on your own. Because they are federal employees state laws don't apply and very few attorney's would fight a federal case. He said we might find one in new york or something but it would cost more than the medical bills. So much for that "great job" that everyone is always pointing out that my husband has. It's only great if you are in perfect health. But throw in a few illnesses and get hurt at work and you are just a step away from being homeless.

My husband works at a VA hospital and all I can say is that the centers vary greatly in their care. What types of trouble are you having getting treatment?

I can relate to one of your other posts where you say the drs don't take you seriously. That is a problem I have had also. My husband says that I don't look like I'm in pain because I'm an upbeat person.
