I was diagnosed with a clot behind my left knee in December. After a rocky road with Xarelto, Eliquis, and then finally Lovenox, my clot was re-examined via ultrasound about 2 weeks ago, and the clot was gone. My hematologist took me off of the Lovenox. Since then I have had pain in my left leg, constant aches and tingling in the foot, and feelings similar to when I had the clot. Is this normal, or could the clot have reformed?

It’s probably normal. My dvt was 10 yers ago and I still have intermittent pain, tingling etc. If concerned talk to your doc about it.

I am wrestling with the same thing. I had a provoked clot due to knee replacement surgery. Clots up and down my leg. I believe firmly that I have Post thrombotic Syndrome (PTS). I wish my surgeoun had been more emphatic about the dangers of clots and DVTs. Thank god I didn’t die but believe I might have life long complications from the PTS. So far symptoms include pain, swelling and slight discoloration around my ankle. I try to stay active and hope it doesn’t get worse. It is like a ticking time bomb...don’t know if it will ever get worse. I have given in on getting better.

I did check with my hematologist, who ordered another ultrasound of my leg. There are no other clots in my leg, so apparently its just the leg healing. I was told that this can happen, and may lessen over time, but to be aware of anything that seems out of the ordinary. No harm in checking, even if it is just for peace of mind.

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
