I came off the Coumadin last November. I had been on a year course of the stuff. Long story short, it was the second time I'd been on the drugs because they didn't catch one of the clots the first time I went on it, and so after finishing the first 6 month course the second clot regrew, hence I had to go back on the warfarin for a year.

Anyway, my question is thus: I sometimes find that after a long day of moving around (days I'm working/walking around a lot) my DVT affected leg pains me. It's not so bad that I can't walk, and it's more of an ache than a stabbing pain. I understand my veins would probably be damaged after the trauma they went through (My leg grew extra veins around the second clot to keep the blood flowing... cool huh), but I wondered if any other post-DVT sufferers have had the same experiences. I tried asking my specialist but she never returned my call.

I am not required to wearing stockings, and my only course of action is to exercise and take half an aspirin daily for the rest of my life.
