Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.

I've been wearing thigh high compression stockings since clotting a year and a bit ago. Trouble is that I'm quite shortas in not even five feetand even the petite sizes are too long for me. I hike them up as far as possible but they still bunch behind my knee, causing a purple discolouration and lines and sometimes becoming really uncomfortable. I'm currently in Mediven but have also worn Sigvaris. Anyone have any tips or suggestions to make them more comfortable? I think I still need them as my whole leg gets quite red when they're off and I'm standing or sitting without support; my physio says it's an indication that my circulation is still under par (little surprise there).

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
If yours are custom made and are still having issues, I'd go back to the company and tell them your having issues.
I just got my custom stockings and they are terrific! No more bunching behind the knee and the heel is actually on the heel and not on the ankle. There is a 4" difference between my old petite stockings and these ones.
Odd that none of the fitters ever mention this option to me despite months of complaining and trying different brands hoping one would fit better.
