Hi all,
it has now been 12 weeks since my DVT/PE and I still have the same pain in my calf area. I am sooo tired of it! Suppose to have another ultrasound scan next week ordered by my vascular surgeon...but what could I expect? treatment would be the same? coumadin continued? Anyways, just tired of being tired and why does my leg still hurt? Any comments would be appreciated!\

I have had thrombophilia (genetic version) since 85 and I hate to tell you this but the pain has never gone away. in the years and clots since then it has only gotten worse. However on the bright side not all of them do this. With may the pain may be there for a while but it does fade eventually. It all depends on the damage that was done. hope this helps.

as previously mentioned its early days since you had your prblems,i myself have had a thrombophillia test which came back positive over 2 years ago,i now have antithrombin 3 defiency which is genetic,but do you wear compression stockings for 2 years which certainly help,good luck

Chronic damage can befall the lower leg just as chronic damage can befall the vessels of the lungs. If it gets marginally better then it may be in the course of time. There is also the possibility there is a condition completely unrelated to VTE. For example, I have had 2 bouts of plantar fasciitis in the heels, age and activity related, since VTEs.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
