neck pain

Hi all. Anyone experience a pulsing pain in one side of the neck?
Still on Xarelto 20 mg. No pulmonary hypertension, but still dealing with enlarged right ventricle and high cardiac output. This pain is short, happens every minute or so. Quick pain, not sharp. Near artey is concern, definitely not muscular. Just started this morning, hasn't stopped. Worried s little I guess. Hope everyone is well

Not sure what is causing that. Could just be a weird temporary anomaly that happens in our bodies. Last night while in bed, it suddenly felt like someone was sticking a screw driver in my ankle. No idea why, hadn't hurt myself, was just laying in bed watching tv when it started. This morning, it's gone.

Like anything, the more you focus on it, the more amplified it can feel. But if it continues, gets worse, etc maybe call your doc. The neck is more sensitive than you think so it could just be some weird nerve thing going on.

Yeah. I'm trying to just work today. I may be gettign ready to fight a cold or somehting. I have a Cardio MRI Thursday, so gave my Cariologiist a heads up. How are you RMB? Happy NY.
I'll have to catch up with you on some stuff on PM regarding Thinners and cardiac output.

Was that in your DVT leg RMB? As you know I have ongoing pain in my bad leg. Sometimes I get the feeling of a sprained twisted ankle feeling out of the blue and I never even hurt the foot. I think poor circulation can cause weird pains and sensations in our bad legs. I never get that in my good leg, just in the bad one. I would keep an eye on the neck pain, and if it doesn't go away, ask your doctor for guidance. It could just be a weird side-effect of the Xarelto, or it could be just a fluke that will pass in time. I have never had any pains in my arteries, but there are times when I can feel my heart pumping in my carotid arteries and ears, but that has nothing to do with my medications.

Pain was in the ankle of my non DVT leg. I have all kinds of weird pains on and off in my DVT leg so I expect that. What I was getting at is that sometimes people just get strange twinges, pain, whatever, regardless of have had a DVT or a PE. I mean, that happened to me before my DVT and PE. I think we forget that and assume any kind of discomfort or strange sensation ties back to the clots or medication. That's not necessarily the case.

Your lymp nodes may be swollen. Have you been sick lately, e.g with cold or some other viral infection? If you have been, then this is a likely possibility.

If you have not been sick, well, it is more difficult to say. Why is it not of muscular in origin? If it is a nerve pain ( e.g trapped nerve), it is generally felt in the shoulder and the arms.

random one-off pain people just get sometimes for no known reason.

Not sure anyone can really say what is causing that when so many things could be the cause.
