Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has experienced prolonged muscle twitches when on warfarin? My index finger has been having daily twitches now for over a month...and while I know stress/anxiety and fatigue can contribute to this, it still really bothers me. I get them right after engaging the muscle doing something...then a surge comes into my finger, and does some rythmic twitches. Weird. Anyone else experience this?

I have involuntary muscle twitches all over my body - worse if I am tired or sick. Been to the neurologist-only test they haven't done is an EEG - but they tell me it is normal -imagine that. Another thing in my head.

Yes! I get muscle twitches in the leg with the DVT AND in my arm, on the left side of my body only, (DVT is in my left leg). They began after starting warfarin. Don't know if it's caused by the drug or the clot...but they're very pronounced twitches. It is weird and I'm glad you brought it up!

I too hae started getting wierd muscle twiches lately, and on my left side of my body as well. My clot is also in my left leg?

I get more charlie horses and twitching from time to time.

YES! I get them in the calf of the DVT leg, my hands and arms. Glad to know others too, I was starting to think it was strange.

The past few days (I am about 7 days now post diagnosis for DVT in right leg) I've started noticing a very brief "pulsing" (could be a twitch too, I suppose?) in my DVT calf and back of knee. Almost feels like some blood that might not have been able to go through might be pushing its way through (though I could be overly optimistic). It just happens very briefly. I figured it must be the Warfarin as well..

been 2.5 years on 6 mg p.o 2x per week 9 mg and twitching in the leg of my dvt . it ( on coumindin not warfarin) gets worse the next day after a few drinks, been told nothing to worry about have had new dopplers preformed. the other interesting thing is when my INR reaches 2.9-3.2 it stops. above or below it gets worse and like other comments yes it feels just like when the clot broke loose with out all the other symptoms.

Hi all- I know this is years old, but did any of your twitches go away after you stopped warfarin? I’ve been on warfarin for four months and have had twitching or pulsing the entire time
