Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.

I had been frequenting the dvtforum off and on for the past ten years. I had slacked off quite a bit feeling very confident after 10 years that I was out of the woods with regard to having another clot. Well, I was wrong.
Anyway, the dvtforum shut down for reasons that I simply cannot fathom. So many people from all over the world depended on that website.
Then I found this website and let me tell you, it's the best information I have ever gotten with regards to DVT.
Going through a very stressful time right now. Husband retiring in 3 days. Sold our apartment and now have to find another place to live 250 miles away in another state. Having to deal with health issues and thinking I might have to be a warfarin lifer.
But thanks to all of you I feel like I am finally getting the answers I need from people who have walked the walk and talked the talk.
(I hope I said that right)
Thank you.
Linda

I'm glad you're finding some helpful things on these pages, even in the midst of everything else you have going on right now. Hang in there! Hopefully you'll get some downtime soon.

Hey Linda, so glad you were able to find this site and that is helpful to you. It does seems that life sort of turns upside down all at once sometimes, even if some of those changes are positive, like your husband retiring. Soon, you'll be able to sit back, relax, and this will all be behind you. So just keep hanging in there.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
