Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.

I had stents fitted which resolved the MTS constriction completely til the warfarin therapy was botched afterwards, so now I'm a completely clotted lifer.
The deal was, once the stents were in, I would have been on Warfarin for 6 months whilst the stents got a lining so that they didn't attract clots. However, I clotted up (INR only 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 for several weeks) even before the bruising from the stent op had cleared, so it's lifelong now, although I hope madly for a miracle that the occluded leg will clear itself!!!
they 'suspect' May turner as cause of my dvt april 26th.
They stented me (april29th)immediately, after they used some infusion to dissolve the clot over a 24hour period.
I was on warfarin till Nov1st. I've had d-dimer and other tests will get the results end of Jan.
I should be enroute to Chile for Christmas but the snow has upset plans.
Haematologist gave me 2 innohep shots to take on the journey there and 2 on the way back, because of my recent dvt, just to be safe.
Hopefully i'll get on a flight after the 27th now..... fingers crossed.
Happy for you that you're closer to answers.
Happy Christmas.
Rheafun, I hope you enjoyed Chile, and best of luck with your follow up appointment.
Thanks, Dee :)
