Coumadin rash?

I've never had a rash before, so this is not only itchy, but confusing. It started on my lower left arm and is now the whole arm, neck, back and chest.

The only new drug I've added lately is coumadin. So wondering if anyone has experienced rash as a coumadin side effect?

If you start getting a rash after starting any medication you would want to give your doc a call in case it's an allergy to the medication:

Oh I have. But this was the hours before she was available. And still trying to figure it out. It's hives according to her. Waiting to get a prescription for coumadin at 10mg (i'll take half) since it's the one coumadin pill without any dye.

You wouldn't be the first person to have a reaction to the dyes in a pill. Hope it goes away soon! Sounds icky.

Yes, finally is going away. The dye in coumadin 5mg was the culprit. After 50+ years, I'm finally allergic to something. Oh joy.
