I wear 30/40 stockings on my right leg. And I have been on Xarelto for 7 mos. Two days ago my stocking was riding low on my leg, and it bunched behind my knee. It resulted in a few red lines and some swelling behind my knee. Today today the swelling has increased slightly, and my calf is a little heavy. I have residual clot in my leg, and have been fine for a while. But this swelling behind my knee is bothering me. Anyone deal with something similar. It only aches some, but won't improve.

Nationalday.com proclaims September 28th as Self Aware Day. I took a few snaps of various core values lists and tried to pick my top five core values (kinda hard to only pick 5). But here are my top picks. Feel free to list a few of yours too:GodLovePeaceStability Compassion

Now that I am not talking to my whatever best friend, I realized that her life is full of drama. I had grown tired of hearing her stories about her boyfriend many months ago. She basically had been monopolizing conversations for that long too. She pretty much stopped asking me questions about me. I passed her in front of her classroom the other day and didn't even look at her. I am...

But like we always say, if it's concerning, talk to your doc or his office
Where do you have your residual clot? How extensive is it? Is it necessary to have thigh high stockings? . After diagnosis of my DVT I used thigh high stockings and I found them always to be complete pain as they rolled down and bunched beind the knee. Lets say if I was walking somewhere, I had to always stop at regular intervals to pull them up. The staff at the shop said they would not roll down but if you look at this and other forums on DVT, then lots of people have the same problem Now i use knee high stockigns and find them a lot more comfortable, i.e. they do not roll down. Can you use knee high stockings? Based on the studies I have seen, the knee high stocking should be in most cases enough. I have a residual clot in the femoral vein (in the thigh), and use knee high stockings. The purpose of the stocking is really to reduce swelling around the ankle or calf, basically most of the swelliing takes place at the lowest part of the leg. Even though a person had a proximal DVT and residual clots in proximal veins, then Im fairly sure that knee high stocking is sufficient in most cases. In some cases, if the clots were very high in the body (e.g. Iliac and portal veins) then thigh high stockings would be necessary. Perhaps you could try to get knee high stockings and see how it goes. If your symptoms worsen, then you know that you need to stick to thigh high stockings.
Of course, if worrying about it might keep you up all night, you might just head in to your doc's and get checked out. Even if it winds up being nothing, at least you'll have peace of mind.
