Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.
Well folks...it has been a year that I was diagnosed with multiple dvts in my left leg, and multiple bilateral PEs.
What can I say...forgive my "french" but it was a "bitch"...but that is not the purpose of my anniversary posting...
What I really want to say is that during one of the most darkest times of my life...filled with confusion, and mental anguish...this site proved to be a saving grace...and for that I thank the folks that contribute to it, and who have it going in the first place.
It is through this web site that I gained insight and hope, comfort, and even humor and for that I am very grateful.
To those of you who have barely been diagnosed...all I can say is read the posts, and do research, and pray.
I have had scans of lungs and legs...and all clots have cleared up, but I still have intermittent pain and swelling. (The clots had been caused by Yaz...with no genetic predisposition).
Again, thank you and may the Lord Bless each and everyone of you who take the time to share your experiences.

...Yes, you will get better...it just takes a whole lot of patience as I'm sure you know.

i do suggest that if you get pregnant, let your doctor know asap because you may be required to be on a blood thinner during your pregnancy
To: RSmith--you had your DVT in 2002 and still having pain and swelling...oh noooooo. See, that's the sort of insight that is helpful. I guess my swelling isn't that uncommon.
