I don't agree with Oprah. I think it depends on the person.
I think we should all remember that Arline is our friend and not the enemy!

I understand if your obese you people may take it personally that she said some not all are lower class.
It may have been the wrong thing to say but she was in no way trying to hurt anyone here. Just sayin what she see's in the hospital.
I mean come on, have you not seen fat people trying to look sexy in their painted melted crayon pants and and boobs busting out? I have plenty of times, I don't sit there and judge them I feel sorry that they don't look in the mirror just a thin person who doesn't know how to dress!
I have seen plenty of obese people that dress well, smart and they are comfortable.
This business about being a size 28 is obese! Listen a 1x is considered obese. You don't have to be fat or obese fat to feel obese. I know because I happen to be a small person and have put on weight lately, I feel obese! To me I am obese with this extra weight and to you it may be nothing but to me it is uncomfortable.
I have big boobs and I am a blonde and I happen to be the butt end of jokes all the time. I have learned to live with it and laugh at it and even make jokes about my boobs myself now! You need to calm down Hath your anger here seems a little no a lot out of wack here. And again I ask you three ladies to look at the posts and what she said and what your insinuating. It seems to happen a lot here.....Hmmmmmm who does that???
Sunny... You are not obese. You are obese if you are over 100 pounds overweight. I have been there. Honest, I have and it was not fun. I carry all my weight in my stomach, so it is really hard to find clothes. I am a small frame, no boobs, no legs, no butt.. all in my stomach. Ilooked like I was 9 months pregnant. No, I most certainly did not dress like that and couldnt find anything to fit in the clothing stores. It it fit in the shouldnters, it wouldnt across my stomach. I used to just get things made, so they fit perfectly. But, they looked like maternity clothes. I was constantly asked if I was pregnant.. then when Ilost the weight, I was asked what I had.. I used to say.. "A boy.. 25 years ago" hahaha
I am just saying, that I dont think that anyone, no matter what they say, wants to be overweight.
Just like a heavy person who drops 10 pounds feels great and smaller. That isn't the issue anyway.
Funny you and I could be sisters, I got no butt, no legs either!!!!I keep waiting for them to make a rubber butt to put in my jeans Lol!!!! Someone said they saw them on Tv a few years ago but I never saw it causeyou know I would havebought it maybe two! But then someone would have been very disappointed in my small flat butt!!! Oh well
No one wants to be fat and no one wants to be diabetic but we are!!!!
I think it was called Fredericks lingerie who had the fake butt, fake boobs, fake leggings for legs. Whatever you need to ADD weight, they have it. I wish they had something to take off, just as easy lol
I think they were padded leggings like things that you pulled on, Sunny and they made your legs bigger.. same idea for the butt... LOL
This is diabetic related isn't it??? ROTFL!!!! Officer Dibble is going to arrest you all!!!
As for the obese thing, I'm currently having the opposite prob...skinnier than ever since pre-puberty. Everyone is all worried about it. This is at the same time everyone is worried about my sister being obese. She was scheduled for the surgery but chickened out at the last minute. She dresses beautifully, but if she had the self-esteem to wear tight shorts and such, I would stand right by her.
Not a single person here (or anywhere) has any right to judge her OR ANYONE for that matter. If you must find problems to make your day, then look at yourself first...we all have tons of faults to dwell on.
Hugs,
Bobbi
