I receive a hug
receive a friend request
I receive a private message
I receive a group invite from a friend
A new member has joined a community group I am a member of
A new topic is posted in a community group I am a member of
A friend posted a new journal
A member commented on one of my discussion posts
A member commented on one of my journals
A member commented on a journal that I commented on

Allowing us to subscribe/unsubscribe to specific posts is something on the DS 'we will get to that' list.
