DailyStrength Members Community Support Group
Welcome! This community exists for DailyStrength members to have a place to share thoughts and feedback about the site with the folks that run DailyStrength. DailyStrength team members will regularly visit this community, sharing new product ideas, seeking feedback and beta testers, and most importantly, listening to you. Come join us!
We wanted to give you a quick update on a few upcoming changes and what's on tap for next week. First, we are working hard to make sure that every last user can access DailyStrength; there is no larger priority for us. We have identified the root causes of the login issues and are working directly with those users affected.
Then, we are working on a number of fixes requested by the community. Namely, early next week, we are hoping to push out the following fixes:
- Hugs and Private Messages will be properly ordered
- Friends and Group Member lists will be sorted by who is online first (we will be adding the ability to sort by a variety of filters including alphabet, newest members, etc. in an upcoming release)
- Hugs will be displayed larger so that you can see the entire hug message
- Links to Crisis Hotlines will be prominently available in both the footer and menus of the site (as mentioned crisis centers will also be coming back in the coming weeks)
- We will display 15 posts at once rather than 10 to eliminate the need to keep clicking the “load more” button.
- The Intermittent blank/white page when clicking on the “Support Groups” link will be fixed
- You will be able to view the photos that you had added to your journal entries.
As we continue to make these quick fixes we are also working on a number of larger features. Photos will be coming back to the site. Community Leaders, we heard your needs too, and are working on a number of the CL fixes that we discussed - specifically seeing deleted comments, being able to friend and hug everyone, and a few other tools that will hopefully make running your groups easier to handle.
We continue to read all of the comments and really do value everyone's feedback. We are working hard to make sure that DailyStrength continues to be a place where everyone feels valued and heard and is free to find strength in a community of their peers.
Thank you!
Team DS

Well, good morning to you!Today is National Roller Coaster Day. Are any of you going? It's also National Tell-A-Joke Day! Come up with some and share!I'm not bright with jokes these days, but I'll start:"Today I ordered a chicken and an egg from Amazon...I'll let you know." :D

Woke up feeling very emotional and about to clock in at my place of employment. And can't place it all in writing but not been a good experience with my store manager or his boss. Defamation of my character is a concern. I've been losing appetite and weight. Trying to perform at work to keep myself from hospitalization as a result of toxic masculinity.

Thanks....Sa
Keep up the good work DS!
Thank you for the fixes you are working on. I am concerned with the 15 posts per page and it only being fixed to not have to use the reload button. It sounds like we will not be able to see 15 per page and still have to scroll through? The scrolling and distance between posts is one thing I hear many people say is the most difficult making it feel so out of touch with everyone. Can you address if the scrolling will stop with the new addition of 15 posts per page?
I agree with mega54's comment about needing certain fonts darker (i.e., "back to all posts", and page numbers at bottom, etc) ; also,
I would like to feel that our few CLs in the bipolar community could have access to newbies withOut having to wait for their friendship acceptance. We, like a few other communities/groups, have an issue with predators and giving our CLs permission to speak to the new person Directly will protect the rest of us.
The CLs need to be able to recognize problems by noting whether the unknown person posting is actually "new" by being able to if they actually Joined our community or are just dropping in, and to see the Date they joined. This has been an ongoing issue in the past, and some regular members will begin to feel Quite unsafe, not only by the site changes but from an inability to Tell if someone is a stranger or not.
Thank you for your work and patience with Us - keep that mind open :)
Therefore, your best recourse is to message DS and let them know your feelings on this matter rather than add a comment on a thread that was about something else entirely.
If you're hoping the drop in participation is due to log in issues.....I wouldn't count on that.
