Sometimes when I come to DS - instead of getting my usual sign in information it says to sign on with my facebook account.

I don't have a facebook account. Is this something new?

I don't know any details .. because I do not have a facebook account .. but to my knowledge, .. yes, DS has integrated with Facebook to some degree. I DO believe you CAN now sign in with your Facebook account if you have one. You SHOULD see both options .. use FB or use your traditional DS account info.

That integration happened a 'few' months ago.

If you ONLY see the FB option, . then something is wrong .. and you might want to report it to DS with a feedback form.

It seems a LOT of websites are integrating with deFacebook.

Thanks WV - when I see the facebook sign-on - there is nothing else there - not the DS sign-on too.

So I think it is something to report - thanks.

I noticed something on the login page today. The login box has two tabs on the top of it, one says DS and the other FB. To switch and login through one or the other, you just need to click on the tab you want to use and the login window appears so you can type in your details. Could this explain the confusion?

You are correct, Lizzie. Two tabs. The little window DEFAULTS to the DS tab. If one wants to log in with their Facebook account, they would click on the FB tab.

I THINK , Linda is saying that SOMETIMES, she gets ONLY the option to sign in with FB .. but I am not sure. She SHOULD get options for EITHER .. with DS being the default.

Exactly, WV. The login window is really small and I wondered if Linda had missed the DS tab or didn't realise she needed to click it, as it is so tiny, I only noticed it myself today.

Hi all,

We added the option join DailyStrength with a Facebook account or merge your DS and FB accounts back in January of 2009. This is totally an optional process. If you don't have a Facebook account or don't want to merge your two accounts, you don't have to. Some members enjoy this streamlined way to use DS and FB together. If you don't, you can just ignore it.

as if she (sometimes) does not get the option to sign in w/ her DS account. I'm not sure .. but it sounds like that is what she is saying.
