You should readily see the MANY bugs going on right now .. too many and too subtle to explain in a feedback form. There are just somethings one has to see that can't be put into words.
Probably won't have time today but will see how it is when I get back.
To list everything that is wrong would feel a couple of feedback forms - and that is just for me.
Yes I think WV has a really good idea. Get a basic computer - not one that is used as DS staff - and test it as he suggests. Try putting in all the new features and then save it - see if it all posts and if you are missing letters here and there.
Do the same with copy and pate from any work processor and then see what happens.
As people who have meebo and those who don't are all having problems I do not think that is that problem - but then again who really knows. It is just a computer!!!!!!!
WHY is this so?
The same feature in Firefox is ADBLOCK+ with meebo rule added. I don't use FF, but have a feeling those who do, and turn ADBLOCK+ off will see the journal editor work much better.
Don't know nuttin 'bout FLOCK, but if it is 'basic' .. the editor may work better with it than with FF/IE* with the blocking turned on. I'm guessing FLOCK doesn't even HAVE script 'rules' etc.
I think the problem(s) are with FF/ADBLOCK+ and IE8/INPRIVATE FILTERING. If I am right, I HOPE DS will fix it RATHER THAN TELL US 'don't use ADBLOCK+/INPRIVATE FILTERING." but I think it will be tough finding what 'rule' is the culprit .. so that may end up being the solution. At least while using the Editor.
We'll just have to see what comes forth.
Sorry it is closed to friends only but for any of you who can access would be interested to see if it looks OK.
Well I am off - Left plenty of hootch in the bar so enjoy it while I am away. LOL. And yes we do make gallons each week so are quite happy to share.
BTW Flock is a Mozilla product and is really quite fast and has some very interesting features built in - sadly the addons are lacking with only a screengrab available. I think it is mainly aimed at those who are into IM, Twitter, FB etc. But I think that I will use it as a back up to my FF as IE keeps giving me spyware.
What works for you on IE may or may not work for me on Firefox..........
I saw a journal entry that Jesse made a while back. It said something like...
XFHRXPPQ - test (Several lines of that)
Guess that was the practice session...........LOL
Also, due to the technology used in our Journal Editor we cannot guarantee its behavior when used with 3rd party blocking add-ons that restrict the use of javascript or cookies (such as AdBlock and many others) as they can directly block how the editor functions. We've been using TinyMCE, a popular open-source text editor, for our journals from the beginning of our site - here are some useful links:

Thanks, TeamDS
If you use ADBLOCKING in probaby any browser that offers it, turn it off before using the Journal Editor.
For Firefox, that would be ADBLOCK+ and/or NOSCRIPTS.
For IE8, that would be INPRIVATE FILTERING.
There MAY be more 'tinkering' with your browser needed than just that though.
What is the srikethrough for?
I left ALL my addons on when I did my journal and everything that I used (and I used most of the features) and it posted as written this last time.
I wonder if it is like some of the other glitches - some people have a problem and some don't? Might explain it.
Hope that it will get sorted on Monday.
Thanks, TeamDS
