Hi all,
We have a scheduled feature/bug fix release coming Tuesday morning (6/1) with the following new features and bug patches. We will keep this thread updated with details.
Some of the the new features in this release have come from many of you members (keep those great ideas coming). But before we get into the cool new features, we have some other improvements to communicate. As part of a larger and longer-term project to update and improve our site's design, we are making two initial changes with this coming release: 1) to improve our page load times and reduce some clutter we are removing one of the banner ads placements on our pages. 2) to bring more consistency to our site we are standardizing our site's header (or masthead) to the version you may have noticed on our Experts pages. This new/cleaner header also brings more content up the page to reduce scrolling. Again, these are just some initial steps toward a new site design that we think will be cleaner and easier to read and navigate, while still being familiar and welcoming. We are sure you'll love it.
New Features:
- More Recent Activity. Many of you have asked for more than two pages of Recent Activity on your signed-in homepage. We've heard you and added the ability to go further back in time for your friends' status updates and activity you might have missed. After the release, just sign in and check out your home page.
- Ability to disable the DS/Meebo Chat Bar. Members will now have the ability to disable the Meebo chat bar completely. After the release, check out the Chat FAQ for more information or just go to your My Account page and check the Chat section.
- Add video to your journals. With the video embed button on our journal text editor, you can once again create video journal entries by uploading your video to YouTube and then adding it to your journal entry. Or, select any YouTube video to create a multimedia journal entry. After the release, visit the Video FAQs for more information. To see an example and to view the video tutorial, read TeamDS' video journal entry that will be posted on Tuesday afternoon.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed issue with Chat Now! button. The Chat Now! button is now working on the People page.
- Meebo bar Live Updates. We have resolved the issue with duplicate status updates via the Meebo Live Updates feature.
- Hug Pages accurately reflecting deleted Hugs. We have resolved an issue some members have reported with their hug pages not accurately reflecting the number of Hugs after they have deleted some or all.

My status did the same thing - actually reverted back to the old one - but that has sorted out for me - at least last time I did it.
It does seem that there are glitches on here after each fix/upgrade that take a few days to sort out - so I will wait and see.
The problem with having to resend posts etc I think is possibly that there is an overloaded system and that the size of the site has already outgrown the "new" hardware that they installed just a while ago..... April was it?
Also the back button works just fine on every other site I've been on.
Hmmm, well, OK then. Guess it is a Meebo problem afterall.
