lost my dad

I lost my dad December 8, 2014 and he was only 47 years old and getting ready to retire in 3 more years. That's what is even more sad. It's just been difficult for my mom, brother and I to deal the fact that we are never going to see him again. We used to do everything with him as a family. Life is not the same without him. Grief just has been overwhelming and been having a lot of not so great days just thinking of him.

So sorry for your loss. Lost my mom in February. Nothing so sad as to lose a parent. Important for me to separate the sadness of losing her from the sadness of ongoing depression. Thinking of getting help from bereavement group. I'm a big believer is getting help if it is available.

I am so sorry to hear such news. My sincerest and deepest sympathy i send your way. Things will never be as they were. Just go through the grieving process one day at a time. There is no set time limit for grieving. Just go through it bit by bit a day at a time. I do believe that DS here has groups for those who are grieving. Check out the support groups list. I hope you can find glimpses of serenity as you and your family go through this very difficult time. Again my sincerest sympathy I send your way because I can hear the love you have for your Dad in your post. I am so sorry.
