Logging in. anything i can do, or do differently?

Hi, i just wanted to write a note here. when i first came onto the new DS site to log in, i had to get a "password reset" link sent to me. i got the link, and changed my password and logged in. Each time i log out, and want to log back in, i have to get that "password reset" link sent to me. i know DS has worked on this, and fixed it for many, but many also still have the problem. it is frustrating, and i know that some members are still unable to log in. members who have been here for a long time ,or a short time, and i was just wondering, because i have written to DS, about 5 times now, with the feedback/issue form, and they still haven't helped me. my browser is Google chrome, just like i had on the old ds site. i've used different passwords when i change my password, even my old password again, and it still won't remember me. i don't know what to do, and i will continue to go to the lengths needed (password reset) link to be able to log in, i just hope team ds is still working on this issue, that i feel is the main issue all around. members being able to log in, should be top priority, above all else, including the new social media sharing. they fixed that and set that up, before fixing all the log in issues? it's got me pretty upset and i don't think i'm the only one (social media sharing topic here). i've been here since 2007, and i believe in ds, always and will always be here, but i feel like members being able to log in, should be top priority. i'm a shy person, and i keep to myself, my journal is how i'm able to freely write with my heart and spirit. i don't usually speak out, or speak up, it's not how i am, but i got friends over the years, who are still unable to log in, and for them to be able to contact me, they've had to use the postal mail, or email. i think we deserve to be able to log in to the site first. it's been hard on almost all of us, to transition over to the new site here. even with the difficulity of that, we should still be able to at least log on, without any issues. i'm here for anyone who needs support and encouragement.

DS has said it is working with those still affected by that bug and doing so individually. What helped me was when I found a link somewhere to reclaim my old account. It did not seem to work with the email I had on file with DS so I signed up for a new email address with gmail and used that email address to get my old account back. I had to have my username, my new email address and a new password, I think.. Luckily my computer remembers my email and password so it signs me in automatically now. Maybe none of this helps you but hang in there. I miss the old site :(

I have to retype my password over the saved ****** every time. I do hope this is fixed soon!

I remember there was a specific link to go to for people who were still having trouble logging in, because DS was working with those people individually. The link was in a post by Team DS, and it was posted quite some time ago. I wish I could help more and give you the link to the post. Perhaps a CL knows which post it is and can help or can contact DS on your behalf to get you in contact with the right people. Wishing you the best...

Hey Chris,

So far I haven't had any problems logging in. But I have been away from the group for a few days. Nothing major wrong, just haven't come over here for a bit. I miss posting photos. It's frustrating.

Hey, thank you everyone, for reading, and posting tips, and helpful support :) i appreciate you all, you all are like friends to me here on ds, and i'm thankful for your kindness, and taking the time to read, and write. i'm gonna continue to look into things, and trying to contact DS about my log in issues. hopefully it'll be resolved soon, for everyone who is having troubles logging in. i'm definitely keeping hopeful, and your replies, and kind words brings me comfort, and reassurance that all is gonna be ok :) Will keep you all posted too :) i hope you all are well, and enjoy a nice weekend :)

oh, dear Sambod, thank you so much. i appreciate you reaching out to ds for me :) i'm very hopeful, and i just hope everyone will be able to log on, and for things to be ok. i'm really keeping hopeful on this. :) many thanks for your kindness, and for all you do :) i'm feeling so much better, about things too, and i want to help out everyone also, in any way i can :) i'll always be here :) will keep everyone posted :)

here's an update.
i went to sign in, it wouldn't let me. i had to click on "Forgot password", but a link sent to my email.
then, i typed in a new password (twice) to confirm it, and clicked on, "save password".
i signed out, tried to sign in, it showed a password in the box, i tried it, wouldn't let me sign in, so i deleted the password, tried again, and typed my password, it wouldn't let me, so i re-did it again, changing my password with a new link. it's not remembering me, and it says, "no username" where it saves my password.

Thank you Sambod :) i made a video for Jesse, of the log in issue, and he's forwarded it to the developers. i'm so hopeful the video can shed some light, and help those of us who are having log in issues. i appreciate you all.
