CKD from bad PTSD meds hurt today

I took the wrong bus back from the grocery store and ended up having to walk it home a good distance away from my usual bus stop back, so I wound up walking 2.7km instead of my usual 1.  It hurt.  I hope not to be doing that again any time soon.  Plus, my social security check that's supposed to come monthly on the 3rd hasn't come yet and it's the 14th of the month today.  Not cool, as I do live paycheck to paycheck in retirement now.

Yes definitely call the SSI asap. Mine has come late a few times but never that late. Do you get yours by direct deposit? If so, call your bank as well.

I have my ss direct deposit to my bank...it's the safest way.

Muji, my heart aches for you. That's the kind of pain that takes a while to fully recover from. Prayers for healing,

Social security is having issues. I don't have any suggestions, however, prayers for that to be taken care of soon so you have funds to be comfortable with.

Me, too, miro, that's why its being held up has been so confusing. I hear the SSA changed its schedule of payments now. Those with birthdays on the first to the fifteenth of the month get theirs now in the first week of the month, those with later birthdays on the second and third weeks. Pretty confusing clarification, if you ask me.

We've had odd payments both months this year. We got letters saying 2024 payment will be so much and then we both got different payments. I have had an injury I am dealing with and just haven't had the energy to deal with this wackiness myself. Maybe it is the timing change although I am new to SS and we both get ours on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday, automatic deposit. I always forget which Wednesday. But it is by when your birthday is when they pay you.
