Has anyone read this book already? I finished it last week. So don't read this if you haven't finished the book.
I enjoyed most of it but not the beginning about her first intimacy with the married guy. That was too long. The book is well written and not childish. I didn't know much about Bessie Coleman but I was amazed at her inner strength to make her way in European flight schools. I am glad to have written it and know more about Bessie Coleman.
The author is a strong and driven woman, also. She is a pilot who learned to fly when she was in her forties. Life isn't over as we get older is my takeaway.

All throughout, I had a feeling Bessie would die in a plane crash. Wow, flying in planes back then was so dangerous. Loved the photos at the end. I’m going to Google her to learn more.
I like your takeaway. The story also had me thinking about all those who have come before who paved the way for others to succeed in life. I, too, am glad I read it… better than some of the fluff I’ve read. :)
