Is anyone else taking Zosyn in IV form? If so, what are your experiences with it? Good? Bad? Side effects? Pealse let me know!

Yes, I have taken Zosyn many times. It is a very effective IV drug for me. Most recently, I took it 2 weeks ago. It can sometimes make me nauseous, but eating a snack just before or with the dose helps that a lot. The biggest drawback for this drug, for me, is that it usually requires to be taken every 6 hours, more frequent than others. Lastly, I had a very rare side effect no one had ever heard of, it made my hands and forehead numb sometimes. Weird, but not really bothersome. Hope this helped.

Thank you so much! So far it's been pretty good, no side effects that I've noticed! Ya, I have to take it every six hours too!

my daughter was on her third week on zosyn and her temp. kept going up. She was 104.5 and the doctor took her off it. When she goes in the hospital now, they put it on her bracelet not to give it to her.

kbenson, My daughter has had that numb feeling on her forehead, cheeks and upper lips. She can't take Zosyn so I think it is other meds too.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
