Wellbutrin!

Has anyone taken Wellbutrin. It's supposed to be a depression type pill that also helps you quit smoking? Any bad side effects?

I took Wellbutrin for a couple years, and I do think it's the best anti-depressant on the market. I had tried Prozac and Paxil before finally settling on Wellbutrin so I have a little bit of prior experience in that department..

Prozac made my like a zombie. I was in a whole other world. Also, I was dating my to be husband. Our sex life wasn't too get either which was a direct side effect of the Prozac. That is why I stopped using that one.

Paxil had close to the same effects but not as intense.

Wellbutrin was great. No problems, whatsoever in any areas.

I say, "Go for it!"

As far as the smoking part of your question, I guess it would help. That was a habit I never even tried!!! Good luck!!!

Also, keep a close eye on your job performance. Anti-depressants can effect it for the good or bad!!!

When Rich was in the hospital, his one nurse told me about that too. He reccommended it to me to quit smoking. He told me that it worked, but that it made him think of things he wouldn't normally think about. I'd ask your doctor, because you have CF, it may interact with some of your other meds.

Try to quit with a friend, that's how my brother and I did it. He quit quicker than I did, and I was embarassed to smoke around him, so it was easier to quit.... we were on VACA together so it was hard to avoid him!!!!

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
