I don't have CF, so I can't pretend that I know what it's like... but working and going to school in a normal situation can be stressful!! 2 semesters ago, I went to school full time, and worked full time, plus I took cello lessons... I def. spread myself too thin... and I was constantly miserable...

Just remember... there is only so much time in any given day...

No one can tell you what to do.. but I will ask you to think of your health first, because (in my opinion) that is the most important.

I give you LOTS (x100) of credit for working, being in school, and having CF. Try to take advantage of those opportunities to relax and have fun... you know?!

Do you know any families with children around town? Babysitting was always my favorite way to make money... People pay you to play with their children... it's wonderful!!! But it's a low key way to earn some money...

It can be hard working and school with cf. The right job helps. My daughter has bused tables but finds that too hard. She is babysitting now and working in a store for afew hours. Her best job was a friend that had a business that she worked in the office sitting. If your boss understands and is nice it seem to work. She has to leave when sick. Remember you health always comes first.

Have you checked into getting a 504 plan set up for you at your school? I had one for my son from elementary school on and it helped soooo much! Every cf'er needs one. If you need more info just write me.
That should free up some of your time, how are your parents with your cf? Do they understand? What are your career choices so far? Passionate about anything yet? Jess

what are you planning on doing as far as work goes? Don't get anything that's too time consuming. Waitressing is really tough, I wouldn't mess with that unless it was at a smaller place.

My mom is great about my CF! But I think sometimes she forgets about me having CF and she tends to treat me normal and pushes me to work more and take on more than what I should. She does support me in what I do though! I love babysitting, but there aren't many jobs for that in my town. I am working right now at a Subway, it's going good! Thanks everyone for the help!

mmmmm, Subwayyyyy. Makin me hungry! You can do it, girl. Don't go all crazy and work 60 hours a week AND go to school AND have to fit in treatments. Take it all in stride and make sure you have a down-time on your busy schedule. I do the school thing and teach both my brats at home (that;s my "job") and it gets tough sometimes, but I make sure I get my down-time in there between teaching and treatments. I am 24 and have cf. I work at a grocery store as a cashier plus I go to college. It can be very hectic. I take my tank and vest to my aunts house and do it on lunch. Sometimes I set it up at work.
