I recently had a blood vessal burst in my lungs. According to the docters though, the way it happened to me isn't common! About a month or two ago I was sick so I went home from work and took a sleeping pill to try and fall asleep and avoid some pain I was having. I woke up from my nap perfectly fine, ate supper and talked to my sister before she went to work. When she left I decided to go back to bed for a lil while. Drifting off to sleep is pretty much the last thing I remember. What I do remember was waking up every once in a while and coughing, which is pretty common for me, and I felt completely disoriented and out of controll of my body. Anyways my sister came home after work to find me lying on the couch cover in blood and there was blood all over the couch. So she called 911 and an ambulence came and got me. From there they thought it was to dangerous to wait so they drove me to Bismarck for an opperation to fix it. I guess they just went in there and cloged up the broken vessal. So what I'm wondering is if anyone has had this happen or has had a similar exprience?

Wow- that's really scary. I haven't heard of that happening, so I don't have much to offer. I just hope that you're doing alright.

I have this happen to me multiple times. It has become something I expect. Although mine have never been that bad. The worst one I had was 1/4 cup of blood. I was laying down to sleep and it happened just as I was getting comfortable...it stopped though and started to clot, which yours must have done also. Did you ever have any gurgling sensation in your airway that felt different then phlem. I was very short of breath and had gurgling from the blood coming up...very scary. My doctors have said this can been a factor for some cfers but not everyone has it. I have struggled with it ever since. I cough up little amounts from time to time. I can go a month or three and then it happpens again, I have not had the embolization like you but my doctors have talked about doing it. What did it feel like to have that done? Do they put you under? Do have any pain with it? Did your doctors put you on any meds because of it? Sory for all the questions, I don't know alot of people who have experienced this and it is very scary. It happens in the evening, bed time, laying down situations alot. I just had a little blood last night, right after my thearpy. It is never easy, no matter what. Glad everything is okay, if your willing to share more about your experience please contact me! God Bless You

I also have similar experiences right before, or as I'm laying down getting comfortable. I will cough up a bunch of blood at that point. And I too have gurgling sensation! I was very weirded out by that! When I had the embolization a couple of times now. They dont put you all the way under just gives you relaxation meds. They go in through an artery kinda by ur hip area and vola its fixed. Its a pretty easy procedure though, and farely fast. I did find out that the numbness and tingling episode may have been from a allergic reaction to midol! Crazy as it sounds, but ever since I quit taking midol after I realized this fact I havent had any problems!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
