My name's Jon, I'm from Ireland, however I live in Barcelona, Spain.
I used to post here often, but around two years ago now my UC seemed to disappear. And it's never came back!
I suffered from flare ups around one every two weeks. Was hospitalized for two weeks each time and was taking an immuno-supressant.
It was horrible, the diarhea, the fatigue etc. Now it has all gone.
What's done it?
I was very anxious and depressed before. This has improved a lot. I used the Claire Weekes method. Google it if you suffer.
Also I cut out grains.
These things have personally made all the difference for me. I can't promise they will help for you guys but who knows!

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Glad too that the Claire Weekes method help withe the anxiety.
I don't know. Because before I was flaring up every two weeks for like a week minimum.
Now I haven't had any symptoms for two years. It's a big change to call it remission. But who knows.

I am convinced that it was linked to my anxiety or bad nerves though.
Every time I flared up, and also what kicked it all off to begin with, were times when I was very stressed and made myself a nervous wreck.
Thanks to Dr Claire Weekes these days are now a thing of the past as I have learned to accept my anxiety which makes it die down.
I'm confident I'll never get into that state again! And even if I do I now what to do about it, without it spiraling out of control!
