I live in Canada and medical marijuana is really gaining traction. The C&C Foundation has gone from non support in 2004 to reserving opinion at this time. I have found quite a few studies and numerous anecdotal reports of positive results. Prednisone scares the "shit" of me and the immuno- supprerssants, well I don't even want to think about these babies. I know pot is not without it's downside. I used to do a fair amount in my younger days (62 now) and found I grew to dislike the psychotropic effects. Apparently the medical marijuana is so strain specific they can regulate the THC and the cabannoids to meet various needs and conditions. Just wandering what anyone can tell me regarding efficacy, side effects and dosing. Looks like I'm going to be eligible in the near and since a flare is brewing I'm open to the concept.
I just watched a you tube video about Shona Banda who cured herself of Crohn's disease with cannabis oil. There is also the movie, "Run From The Cure."
After all the horrific synthetic medicines I've tried, It would be a godsend to try a natural medicine that didn't have harsh side effects.

I just watched a heap of stuff on youtube about hemp/cannabis oil, I would totally try it if I could. I'm in NZ. If you are eligibe and there are actual doctors working with this knowing the dosage etc, good luck!
I haven't taken the plunge yet as I'm awaiting the correct strain that won't be available until late May. I know pot is not without it's issues but I'll take it 10 time out of 10 versus those freaking scary drugs that are used by people who have exhausted the lower level interventions.
Further this discussion I believe diet is paramount in the fight against this disease! I will write a different post in the near future.
I will update a tad however and say that all strains of pot are not the same. For me, I found that an old-school strain of Thai (Chocolate Thai to be exact) actually not only relieved the most distressing symptoms, but it actally precipitated my full remission. Since then I have been unable to find it and I'm in California, where you can get anything! Idid have someone grow a Chocolate Thai cross hybrid for me and it works to a degree in that it takes away the stomach distress and allows me a full nights sleep. It also allows me to eat when I otherwise wouldn't feel like it.
