i wouldnt think a liquid necesary unless doctor told you to. with crohns you need to make sure you are geting enuf nutrition

i went on a elemental diet which was premade drinks in cartons but i did this with the hospital if you want arest from solids just puree your food and take vitimins.I was on the diet for 4 weeks it wasnt easy and didnt seem to do much still had diarhea but not as much pain any new diet you go on you should check with your doc goodluck

I think 2 weeks is a long time for a liquid diet, in my opinion.. I have been told 2-3 max and then start trying to introduce foods back in slowly..I prob try soup broths ( boil veggies and meat) then either drain the veggies out and drink just the broth or puree the veggies and meat with the soup broth together if your body can handle it.. good luck and feel well

I agree with Sarah, no liquid diet without checking with doc. Too much can happen.

"Ensure" or "Boost" are complete meal replacement and works when I can Not eat!!! And, Doc recommended!!!!!!

Maybe you can collect information from a nutritionist and a naturopathic. Between the two of them you should be able to come up with a liquid diet that ensures you get all the nutrients and vitamins that you need, but leaves out all the junk you don't or the things that will only irritate your Crohn's.
I know there is a recipe to make your own meal replacements (similar to Ensure but without the corn syrup, chemicals and other things that aren't good for you) but not entirely sure what it is. We are going to look for a good one as well. My b/f is the one that has Crohn's and as of this morning, he has started juicing using fresh, organic fruits and vegetables.

Ensure is the best, it is now great tasting and full of everything your body needs. If you are sick and having a flar-up I would do the broth.
