I have never tried that diet, I know sugar is bad for inflammation but love my sweets too much to give it up totally, lol. I will have to check out that diet though. When I am in a flare I stick to the BRAT diet, bananas, rice, applesauce and toast and lots of chicken.

Foods can help heal, can slow things down sometimes, but medication is sometimes needed, beyond steroids because in most cases, diet changes are not enough to induce clinical remission of the disease.
