We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
I still have my colon so I can't help you there but I just wanted to offer some support.
God bless !!
I have some prescription pain medications for a back injury that also tend to help with the pain from my UC when I have it. However, when I was having a lot of UC pain the main goal was to get the UC under better control. Getting the ulcers under control and reducing the inflammation would stop or at least decrease the pain.
Since you do not have Crohn's or UC I'm not sure about medical options for you. Mostly all any of us are able to do is listen to our GI's, take the medications they recommend, and give the medicines time to work. If your Dr. recommends an option that you are not sure of, like a surgery, you can always get a second opinion. You can also get a second opinion when looking at different medications. I got a second opinion before I started Remicade for my UC. Just as a precaution and it was even recommended by my GI that I talk to the other Dr based on the questions I was asking him. Just to provide more comfort for me.
I really hope that you start to feel better soon and that your Dr. is able to help you feel better. Being in pain like that is very hard.
Good luck and well wishes,
Rachel
