Hemorrhoids

Here I am at 3am and can't sleep cause now my keister itches like crazy from hemorrhoids. They just started showing up within the last few months and are driving me completely insane. The itch is so intense and persistent that I have been sleeping only a few hours a night and i am terrified this might cause my UC to worsen. Of course pooping up to 6or7 times a day is obviously not helping matters but what the hell can I do stick a cork in my ass. Just pissed off and frustrated and need some sleep. Anyone else deal with roids and what do you do about them? Thanks in advance for any and all advice. Charlie

Dear Pain in the Ass,

I have them, and my doc wrote me a prescription for hydrocortisone which helps when they rage.

No sleep makes for a grumpy Charlie. Get the cream!

I had my 'roids greatly angered after a colonoscopy by my now ex-G.I.
I couldn't stand up without dripping blood. He said the blood was from my UC, as my wife yelled at him over the phone while she was looking directly at my bleeding hemorrhoids. I called my GP and she prescribed hydrocortisone suppositories. In less than 24hrs I was sooo much better. Get some form of hydrocortisone.

Hey, I agree with the hydrocortizone suppositories or cream. Also, when in hospital, they gave me a package of very soft medicated wipes that I used to clean with. They REALLY helped. Don't know what they were, but your doctor may know. They are very large wipes that are very thick and have an instant cooling effect on the itching/burning that lasted for hours. They had some coated something on them that stayed on my skin. Don't think they are over the counter type ..

Hope your itching stops.. Lack of sleep for whatever reason is not good.

Thanks for the tips. My poor little bunghole is still pretty damn itchy but I have the suppositories and every cream known to man so hopefully I will figure out the right combination for myself. I never thought roids could be such a hassle, lord knows I found out the hard way they are. Thanks again and lets hope all our itchy poop shooters give us some relief. Charlie

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
