I hope things are getting better.
Second, I remember when my colon was 100% ulcerative that water was almost impossible to get thru me and the asacol that was prescribed over half of them I passed. The key was to not eat or drink anything that would flare up the ulcers. So I did drink the George's aloe because it is very very mild and everyones thought was if anything that could help the healing quicker. All solid food was stopped. The stomach was hungry but the intestines would go thru hell after the stomach was done. With what I just described though comes the possibilty of dehydration and malnutrition. Stay away from dairy. I used Boost after weeks of healing and then it still was rough at times. I know you are wearing thin but Pat might need to be in the hospital for this trip so you don't break down.
I will continue you guys in my prayers.

There are many products out there and many bits of advice from people all wanting to help- including me
but if you look at Pat's intestines in a way that any man made products are causing him more harm then good right now, meaning liquids, over the counter meds, etc. If the doctor has given him specific meds to take then that's what he needs to do. My concern is trying to many second hand things are not helping.
It's a tough call but like I said before he might need to be in 24 hour care to stabilize.
