As far as food goes, try to keep up with what you eat and how it affects you. None of us are normal and each individual can handle different foods, or not handle it. I can't eat corn, lettuce, or any high fiber, without bad consequences. On the other hand I can eat spicy with no ill effects. (yea chilli!). Check dairy. It seems to give people the most problems. Lactose can be in anything. By the way, a lot of bread has dairy. Buttermilk bread kills me.
And it may just be you are having a bad flare that nothing will help but time. We have to learn to live with that too.
Good luck and remember we are here to help.
