I believe flu shots are highly recommended for people with auto-immune diseases which include Crohn's and Colitis.

Its always up to you but given that you are 36..and I DONT think you are on chronic steroids the CDC wouldnt recommend it in you...but if you see that heading in to November/December it looks like a bad flu season..then get the vaccine
