I got my test results back yesterday and the C. Diff is gone, YIPPPPEEEEEEE! I thought it was probably gone cause the majority of the nausea is gone and that horrid smell. So the first Fecal Transplant in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan was a notch in the win column. We now have all the protocol and procedures to go by at our local medical center because of one doctor who was willing to take a chance and think outside the box. Now others in my area have an opportunity at a not so conventional treatment that does not involve pharmaceutical companies or meds.
Soon after the transplant my UC kicked into overdrive though and I am now back on the dreaded pred to calm things down a bit. We dont think it was a direct result of the transplant itself just one of those things that happens when you least want it to, kinda like pooping your pants.
I just want to say thanks for all the support and info everyone was willing to share with me to get this whole ball rolling. Hope everyone is well! Charlie

I know the CDiff is gone for good and that your UC is soon to follow! 2012 and the year of the dragon is going to be great for us all!
I was in the hospital for a month almost a year ago and had CDiff and now I am perfectly healthy. Keep the faith :). We can live happy, healthy lives :)
You said this is the first Fecal Transplant are you planning to do another? Is the C. Diff the only thing the transplant was intended to help? Sorry for all the questions but I am extremely interested in this.
