just to let you all know. I contacted a researcher who wrote a paper about squatting for the treatment of hemaroids and they replied saying that they know one of the researchers who done a study thats in the naturesplatform site. And they are going to put me in contact with them.
Here is what the reaearcher has written on the subject, his name is Bowles;
"The anatomy and demographics of inflammatory bowel disease imply that squatting would be useful for prevention. Anecdotal evidence suggests its potential for use in treatment as well. Mr. Wallace Bowles, an Australian researcher, has extensively reviewed the medical literature and has surveyed converts to the natural squatting position:
I have received reports regarding several people, aged between 5 and 45 years, diagnosed with Crohns Disease. Inflammatory bowel conditions are shown to react most positively when the cumulative injury of seated elimination is relieved by squatting. People with IBD who have changed to the squat posture for bowel movements report significant improvement within a few weeks and, in time, have lost all symptoms of this horrendous condition."
[from personal communication with Mr. Bowles]
I don't want to get my hopes up or indeed anyone elses. But it is worth a try.

thanks Longie for the sites; I'll have to check them out!
I agree, not a cure but hey whatever helps, right?
I wouldn't want to squat over a hole but lower toilets could work.
do you make sure that the angle is as tight as possible. by arching your back in order to push the groing area, or the belly button against the upper thighs.
also do you detox while doing this and eat easily digestable food etc.
Jon
Actually, after looking at pictures, I guess my squat could be a little tighter. I'll need a higher step! I have never tried detox but I have been trying to keep my diet on the low fiber side, smooth, easy to digest foods. It's not impossible but has been becoming a little boring and I don't adhere to it as well as I should. Oh, being human; it's a bitch, lol!
on this site http://www.toilet-related-ailments.com/colon-health.html it says that we must detox the colon also. I think that as long as you are getting your tummy tight against your upper thing then you will be ok, although a higher step i dont think would be any harm.
