I am very sorry and sad to have to inform you all that "Floyd" Larry Joe Fleenor passed peaceably today. At 11:00pm on 9/21 I received a call from his new facility that he was non-responsive. He was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him, but to make him comfortable. He did become conscience and I was able to explain what was going on. Yesterday his friends and family rallied around him and Floyd knew he was loved. He ate and drank his favorite foods and beverages (Sorry no tomato beer ) and listened to some Pink Floyd. He laughed and smiled often. He grew tired and slipped back into unconsciousness early this morning. He left us around 2:00pm while listening to one of his favorite songs by Santana.
We struggled on how to pay tribute to this wonderful man and found that there really was a Dew Drop inn. His son,Girlfriend, daughter, ex-wife, my husband and myself loaded up and journeyed to this quiet pub. In his honor we had tomato beers and laughed about his antics.
We'll miss you Floyd, Keep heaven rock-in for us.

I hope he is resting peacefuly where ever God sent him to help...because I know he like to help people...that I am sure God sent him to help up in Heaven.....I met Floyd when I first came here a few years ago...only in the last several years did I really got to know him, maybe not as well as Grannie or Debra or a few others...but I did call him friend....he help me when I was down and he help me feel happy....he could put a smile on my face and he was good at that.
I will miss him always greating me each morning...espiecally on those mornings I couldn't sleep and no one else was on...he was like that too....that is how I think we came together to chat....I enjoy all his knowledge and he knew a lot....he taught me so much about copd and what I was afaird to ask.
He help me when My computer didn't work and gave me web sites to help me get it fix....Floyd was like that...he use to tell me to call him Joe.....now i kept that our little sceret because he wanted that way...I just never use Joe anywhere but in our early morning talks....when his best friend die not too long ago he was very heart taken by her passing...I listen to him and how much he miss her...I hope he now is with her and is enjoying the company.....
