I am very sorry and sad to have to inform you all that "Floyd" Larry Joe Fleenor passed peaceably today. At 11:00pm on 9/21 I received a call from his new facility that he was non-responsive. He was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him, but to make him comfortable. He did become conscience and I was able to explain what was going on. Yesterday his friends and family rallied around him and Floyd knew he was loved. He ate and drank his favorite foods and beverages (Sorry no tomato beer ) and listened to some Pink Floyd. He laughed and smiled often. He grew tired and slipped back into unconsciousness early this morning. He left us around 2:00pm while listening to one of his favorite songs by Santana.
We struggled on how to pay tribute to this wonderful man and found that there really was a Dew Drop inn. His son,Girlfriend, daughter, ex-wife, my husband and myself loaded up and journeyed to this quiet pub. In his honor we had tomato beers and laughed about his antics.
We'll miss you Floyd, Keep heaven rock-in for us.

there will be a number of aching hearts here for some time. but we loved playing with him so much that the memories will carry us thru. he was a real character! and he entertained us so much.
i'll never have another defender like i had in him! or anyone that can pray for my problems like he did. his prayers could bring tears to my eyes. they were wonderful.
i guess i'm just very happy that i had the chance to meet him. and i thank you for all that you did for him....and us.

As heartbroken as I know we all are losing Floyd, I can only picture him now cuddling Janet and together their sharing a tomato beer at a Heavenly Dew Drop Inn, probably tipped their glasses to you all as you drank yours.
He was a darling witty man who always made us smile or applaud (in awe) at his verbal repartee. Very much loved and if you would pm the date and location of his service I would appreciate it.
Thank you so much for all you've done and please let his family know how much he meant to us all. He will be terribly missed.

His presence will be very much missed by all of us here. He put a little fun in many of our days and was very supportive of people in need of a little compassion..
He had a way with words and a charming personality. I'm sure glad I got to know him and I wish it could have been for a longer period of time.
Sorry you had to go Floyd but happy you were able to say goodbye. We all are much better of for having known you. The memories you leave us with will stay in our hearts forever.
Thank you for keeping us posted at all times on his health and your caring, you were his angel.
Floyd always kept us laughing here, his humor and wit will be missed. Glad you got to try the tomato beer.
You stayed by his side right until the end, and I know that was so important to him. God Bless him and you and his family. He is in heaven now with the Angels, and when we get there he will be there to meet us.
He will be in our memories for a long time,
