I like to use the neti or spray to keep allergens out of my snout also !
Two common petroleum-based products are Vaseline & mineral oil. (You'd be amazed out how many lotions, etc. contain mineral oil).
When my nostrils, upper lip, etc. get a little raw from tubing or masks I use 100% cocoa butter to relieve the chafing. There are products sold specifically for this purpose, but cocoa butter is cheaper & smells like chocolate.
