It went well...found out what I expected to. lol My numbers haven't really changed. They were slightly lower today, but I expected that...earlier today my cleaning lady was here and I think the fumes got to me (too cold to open up windows, etc.) I purposely didn't take my back-up inhaler to see what if anything would show up on the PFT test. But it wasn't significant enough to concern the dr. I'd told the RT that if my numbers were way off, I'd do another test after some combivent. LOL She did mention my last test I did in March was one of the best I've ever done with them. But that's because 1. I wasn't pregnant (Half the time I've seen him I've been pregnant which lowers my numbers slightly) and 2. I took my combivent like 10 min. before before I went in the office so I kinda cheated. LOL

Anyway, long story short, I'm not worse, no progression--that's the good news. He did say I'm getting older, different life circumstances (i.e keeping up with a crazy toddler, 3 other kids, house, etc. lol) so it's not unexpected that I'd be feeling it more. He said if I have a good day where I can get by with one dose of Symbicort in the morning, then that's great. But if I have take the 2nd dose later, and combivent inbetween, that's to be expected. No major worries unless the combivent increases considerablly for some reason.

I also pay more attention to it now, which may or may not be good. lol Because I've grown up with it, being SOB doesn't phase me, I just continue one with whatever. In the past it had to get bad enough to get my attention that maybe I should take a break and rest, or take my inhaler. Now that I feel it more, I'm more proactive about it which is probably good. The longer I can maintain my current lung function, the better. As far as long term prognosis, he won't even take a guess on that one. LOL It's true I have a higher risk of loosing lung function earlier/faster, but if things stay as they are now, I could just as easily live to be 100. :-) So apparently I'm doing well enough he's not worried about me going downhill anytime soon which is good to hear.

I was going to post my numbers so you all could see kinda where I am... I have no idea how far from "normal" I am since I've never seen a normal PFT test. lol But Ileft my paper downstairs in my purse so I'll add that tomorrow.
