Peter I know you deal with the upper body pains all the time like I do. The rib pain from hyperinflation can make you want to scream. Then I went and cracked one last month which made it all the more special.
Nothing seems to help it.
Then there's the "old injury" pains which this crappy disease helps remind you of as well.
Still in all you try and put on a smile. Because you know what? There ARE worse diseases. There are some support boards on here that make me want to cry when I read what people, young people who should be enjoying life a lot, are putting up with. So then I think what Birdcat wrote. Then I go back to my pity party ;)
Peter, thank you so much for posting that information. My daughter has suffered with chronic pain for years, due to an automobile accident when she was 19. That article helps me to understand more about some of the things she does (and doesn't do).

and i HATE the 1 to 10 scale===what i once thought was a 10 has changed as the pain worsens.
i finally worked out a deal with my dr of me explaining how i can or cant function because the scale is misleading to us both.
