My pulmo changed me to Turdorza instead of Spiriva because I asked for something new that might not have such a dry mouth side effect. It seems to be more effective than Spiriva for me and no dry mouth, but I would like to hear any of your experiences with it. Thank you, Ann
Welcome to the group. I've been using Turdorza instead of Spiriva for many months now and have found it to much more effective than Spririva both with helping me to breath better, not causing me to loose my voice and not causing dry mouth. Can't speak for any one eles here. We are all different.

I am new to the group and also use Tudorza since my dx as of 02/2014 (stage IV). I have nothing to compare it to since it has been the only drug used (along with a Ventolin rescue inhaler).
I do lose my voice but that has been coming on for some time now (looking back in retrospect), and as such for me it is not necessarily due to the medication but moreso another symptom of the disease.
I was very blunt to my Dr. upon diagnosis about "side effects" and from what Ann states (low side effects), explains why he put me on this from the onset.
I am still trying to figure out the side effects from the med. vs. is this something unrelated or the disease itself. One of which is occassional (twice so far) of mild incontenance, however I plan on looking through the threads here as I think again it may be more due to the disease (i.e. inflated lungs = pressure on internal organs) rather than a reaction.
The one side affect that I find most disturbing is the possibility of glaucoma. While I have some of those symptons, I think it is moreso because of "aging" and while I have been fighting/denying it for some time now, I think I just need to get glasses - the drug store reading type have worked well so I can read small print again.
I did find something on the web whereby a study was done for 3 mos and then 6 mos., but there does not seem to be a truly long-term study on this or other meds for that fact (probably the reason for all the lawsuits after certain meds have been around for a while) ... just my opinoion.
Anyway, it would be good to hear from other Tudorza users as side effects become known, and I will do the same.
