Tredtmill at home and walk! - can't beat it.

Treadmill at home is priceless i walk my way thru the news and some of the tv shows, all the fancy stuff is good as you can set for inclines and it measure heart rate etc....Joining a gym is also great as the equipment gives you variety and the companionship is great fun. Go for both if you can afford it.

Treadmill at home - check out thrift stores, usually can find one in great shape...

If you are cramped for space get the kind that fold up.

treadmill. dont even have get dressed to do it! and it never closes! so you can do it at midnight....if you want.

I agree with SSP1. Love my treadmill at home, placed it right in the living room so I couldn't avoid it. I would NEVER be able to discipline myself to consistently go to the gym on a regular basis. Maybe for a short time, but for the long run NEVER.

I found my treadmill at a garage sale CHEAP. They ever brought it over to the house for me. I had them put it right in the living room so I couldn't avoid it. Seems like about 1/2 the garage sales have a treadmill. Lots of them on craigslist also.

Note: I recently had to start wearing oxygen while walking. I have a 5 lb. concentrator that I can put over my shoulder. A lot of us have bottles we need to carry. I found it difficut to carry even that extra 5 lbs. without getting winded and wore out fast. I've started wearing the concentrator while I exercise on the treadmill to condition my body to carry the extra weight.

The Dog Whisperer himself (Cesar Milan) recommends the treadmill for our furry friends. LOL I need one for Katie and I.
Now, to save money............somehow; someway; somewhere???

It depends... will you get bored with the treadmill? Can you walk outside? You live in FL, so it is not like winters are freezing there. I would get a decent one. Buy it from some place where you can return it within the first few weeks if unsatisfied. I walk outside a lot, but I also value my gym membership where I swim, use the jacuzzi, take yoga and other classes and use the cardio-equip. It is less than 2 miles from my house, so the gym is convenient for me. If it is too far away, people tend not to go. Either way, keep moving!

Depends on how severe your COPD is. For many or most of us getting dressed & going out to the gym are days long past. I lived in Florida for 12 years & the weather there is not 100% perfect. Get a treadmill, it doesn't need all the bells & whistles. Here we have sporting goods stores called "Play It Again". You can buy a used one or if you want to up grade you can trade it in. Deb

I used to walk at the mall all the time, but got so that I couldn't stand the trek from the parking lot in the pollution and weather. So last winter I bought a treadmill online, and had it delivered, and I love it. I don't have to worry about going outside and risking my breathing in the process.

Going to a gym is great if your breathing can stand the trip. But having that treadmill right there in the house is very nice, and I probably exercise more often because it's there.

Well, I like shopping even thou I don't have money to use, I would like to use my play doe I have....but no one will take my doe from me? Oh well.

OK here it goes.........on the shopping networth or what ever it is called HSN....or one of those places......has those tread mills and you can break it up, no kidding, and pay it a little at a time.

But been watching their ad's for years now....did I buy one almost.

Well you see I like to shop so there you go another way of getting one.

But I really like going to the GYM...............there are so many cute guys there. And I like looking ok I am old....but I'm not dead yet!!!!!!
