Does anyone else get the feeling like their skin is tingling or burning? I get this often around my middle but mainly up my back. There is no discoloration or anything to see but it is very uncomfortable. I have tried lots of creams. My Dr says it is anxiety and we have been trying 1 mg of Ativan. Helped for a while but not anymore. Any suggestions my friends?

Did you ever have a small rash on your stomach or back - Shingles? If so, it might be Post-Herpetic Neuralgia (PHN). I take gabapentin for it...

I have chronic back pain and often get a burning feeling in my back..............I always just figured it was a nerve of sorts gone haywire.

Hopefully your doc will find the answer:)

well there's one i haven't had to experience yet! i hope you get it figured out.
does lanacain, benedryl or cortisone cream work to numb or stop the irritation?
i have chronic back pain, but just the spinal pain that i gob ben-gay on.

I get the pain in my lower back it is from arthritis i take Hydrocod it helps a lot. The arthritis will make your back tingle and burn.

Hi,
I get tingling & burning everyday but mostly at night when Im lying down. I never knew Arthritis could cause it. I get the burning in what feels like 5x5 inch patchs on my things or calves it lasts for approx 5 minutes. I also have numbness & tingling in my arms & legs and also my feet. My doc says it can be caused by my spinal degenative disc, sciatica, and diabetic neuropathy. Does anyone know if insufficient oxygen levels can cause tinglling i sometimes get it in my face.

I also have degenerative disc disease, and spinal stenosis..I had back surgery, and haven't been able to walk or stand for much longer than 10 minutes without having to sit down. My left leg is very difficult to lift, and I had a cortisone shot under the xray machine, and it was injected in my hip, back in August, and that helped for about 6 weeks.

I haven't really had tingling, only when i sit in a position for a while with my legs down.

My arms feet and hands tingle frequently. It is annoying but not painful.

From what I have read on this board I was under the impression that was part of the lung disease thing??? IDK.
