COPD & Emphysema Support Group
COPD is a progressive disease characterized by airflow obstruction or limitation. Emphysema is characterized by loss of elasticity of the lung tissue, destruction of structures supporting the alveoli and of capillaries feeding the alveoli. Both have symptoms that include shortness of breath, among other respiratory troubles. If you are a COPD or Emphysema sufferer, join...
I think if there was a way to reverse emphysema you could just stand on any street corner and you would get plenty of takers since it is the 4th largest cause of death in the US.
This is strictly my opinion but thanks for listening.
Have a great Sunday.

Many here use Mucinex (or the generic version) that is bought over the counter and is very helpful in loosening up phelm. Vitamin D seems to play a role in improving the situation. I, and others, take NAC daily. Eating healthy also plays a role.
I think most also keep in mind that this is not a one size fits all disease and what helps one may not help another, but still keep their options open.
Good breathing and good wishes being sent your way!
Having said that let me end by saying this....THERE IS NOTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH HOPE....with looking into different things, because you just never know and if we stop looking, researching, etc. we may miss something real....something wonderful....Thank you so much for sharing....May I ask what the name of the book is....I would love to look into it myself.....Lorenzos Oil (the movie) just came to my mind....Wow....Thanks again and have a great night....
Love and Blessings, Serenity
Maybe I should have taken an Ativan before coming online that day. LOL
To all, have a beautiful day and to Roger have an especially good breathing day.

I noted this on his FB page, and he advised that the information was complete. On questioning him about his lack of info on contraindications of using supplements, etc, he continued to ignore the health risks of some supplements if taken in too high quantities or with medication that they may interfere with. His answers were reckless, to be honest, and I ended up calling him a snake oil salesman!
I went from thinking he was well intentioned, to believing him to be willing to risk peoples health to ensure his sales, to be honest.
If any of you are interested in trying "his" (it isn't his, all of the research has been done by others, which I imagine he has just gleaned from them) method, you need to follow a sugar free diet, probably for around 3 to 5 months, you can find information on this here: http://www.thecandidadiet.com/candida-diet.htm totally free of charge. He lists two or three fungus killing supplements, but the worlds strongest anti fungal is bicarbonate of soda - it works so quickly on the fungus that it doesn't have time to adapt: http://aromatherapy4u.wordpress.com/2008/08/05/974/ , whereas Millar advises three or four different supplements, to be taken in cycle, as the fungus adapts to them and they cease to work. You don't have to do this with bicarb of soda.
You can find ALL of the info in his book for free on the net. I do believe it's worth a try; I've been researching it for around 6 months now. But don't pay some conman for it.
Good luck!
Unlike most other illnesses that DO have recovery, unfortunately, once damage to the lungs occur from "E", it stays with you forever! Lifestyle changes, i.e.: quit smoking, avoid polluted air if possible, maintain a healthy lifestyle, all this, and probably a lot more I forgot, CAN prolong your life!
I do worry about vulnerable people being taken advantage of by those that offer cures.
