How to survive a heart attack when you are all alone?
It is 6 pm and you are driving home after a hard day work. You are feeling extremely tired and frustrated. You are under a lot of stress because of the pressure at work.
Suddenly you experience a sharp chest pain that is spreading down onto your arm and up toward your jaw. You are only 3 miles away from the nearest hospital but you are not sure if you are going to make it that far.
What do you do?
You had passed the first aid tests but you had never learned how to use it on yourself.
How does a person survive a heart attack when they are all alone?
Most of the people experience a heart attack when they are on their own and helpless. A person whose heart starts beating irregularly and feels dizzy has about 10 seconds before they faint.
Dont panic!
Start coughing vigorously and continuoslyI
Take a deep breath each time before you cough, your cough needs to be deep from the chest and prolonged!
Your breath and cough need to alternate every two seconds without a break until help arrives or your heart stars beating normally again.
Deep breaths bring oxygen to your heart and coughing sets the heart in motion and maintains blood circulation. Heart compression also helps in heart beat revival.
That way, victims of a heart attack can reach hospital. Don't think you are not subjectable to heart attack because you are 25 or 30 years old. Because of the change in our life styles, heart attack is a common phenomenon and affects all age groups!
This could save your life, or the life of someone you know.
