It turns out my fahter in law had simular problems as my five kids.
Each of my kids develope this milk alegery's differently. And
It effected them each differently.
We try everything.. I mean everything. My first son was put on pure protein that was so expenisive it wasn't funny. It was teirable to mix up with water.
It took him until 1.5 y.0. and then they go on Aplha dobiltis...(mis spell)
My second child got it worse.....but was on it longest. My middle child did the best. Then the fourt child did good also....
My daughter had more of the time.
What happens they don't gain according to the charts they use to gage kids growth.
I always wanted to thru those grafts out the window.
So many times. I pray each child would be ok.
Not only the milk products then they out grow the problem by 5 years old or some 3 years old.
So when you mention ToFu...I crenged a bit.
So who knows what lying in their futrue health issues?
I wonder sometimes.
So far they are ok...except my daughter.......she has lots of pain wouldn't go to the doctor..until recently she needs to change from out here where the doctors are ok for regular things....but when you have health issues that maybe they don't see.......they aren't good.
She just finish going to threapy.........she calls me daily and is in pain....she is only 29 y o. Has two small kids......we help her a lot with the kids.
With my health I hope to find something that might of been pass along and hope that it may or not help her.
I am at alost over how much pain she is in....trying to get her to se an Arthists doctor NOT MIND he isn't good...my other was a bit better. this one I have is (sorry for the name calling, but ass hole) I won't go to any more.
So I hoping that she will get a referal to go to one.
Anyway I wrote too long.......all over milk and tofu and tempeh....sorry
I don't like the taste either.

Great article Holly - so interesting that it may help copd prevention too :O) - good news.
I'm already convinced about soya, I believe its a good thing to include some soya products in the diet, some people can't tolerate, and yet others will say it is bad for you. But proof positve is that it really does help millions of people with many different ailments.
As well as those mentioned in the article this food is a high protein food source (torfu), soya milk / yoghurt are an alternative to dairy milk / yoghurt, it contains phyto nutrients and for vegetarians is a real good substitute for meat.
I think those who poo hoo it are likely thinking more along the lines of soya sauce which is usually included in chinese and japanese foods - soya souce is high in salt which of course is not so good health wise.
I'm thinking that the soya milk and soya yoghurt products, will help copd folk who suffer a lot from sinus probs or excess mucus to use this instead of cows milk on cereal or in milk shakes and smoothies.
I just luv these helpful for copd threads :O)
Thanks Holly
