Do you have an attorney that can deal with the insurance company? There are so many on tv that promise they won't charge you unless they win your case, and even tho it may not be about the money, it should be out of your hands and they can worry with the insurance company.
As for the O2 thing, Make sure it is on your list, but also, put a sticky note on the canister its self reminding you to turn it on. Heck, have notes all over your place, what ever will work for you!
Yep, if I get in a hurrry, or just do not pay attention, I trip over my hoses several times. Mine seems to be when I get up from sitting and actually step on it, nearly pulling my nose off it seems!!
I have been having trouble with my hoses all knotting and tyng up, until the group here enlightened me about swivel connecters.
I certainly pray you will be ok, and there are no more serious injuries that will pop up. It seems like a lady said she was hit by a car, not to long ago. And another member said someone hit the car because they were on a cell phone!!
I say get you an attorney that will work for their money, and let them deal with the insurance companies. But do not agree to a settlement to soon, one way or the other, until you know the full extent of your injuries, and if any out patient therapy or anything is going to be needed in the future.
I hope you are going to be ok, you seem to be a very strong willed person,so please take care of yourself, and ask folks for help if you need it.

It's easy to get absorbed in what we are doing and forget we must pace ourselves. When I'm doing things, I try to stop every 10 or 15 minutes so I don't get worn out
A way to keep the hose from ripping your face of is pass a loop of it under a belt if you are wearing one double loop throuhgh a beltloop if not. I wear it under my shirt/tshirt so the upper loop to the cannula can't get caught. I'd imagine an across the shoulder loop (like a bandolier) with the hose double looped or clipped to the bottom would also work (if wearing a dress or duster), taking the stress of your ears and face...

Insurance people are in a world of there own!!
As for your hose I have learned to scoot my feet when I walk. This way I can feel the cord when it gets tangled in my feet.
God bless you my dear sweet young man!!!
..Include your own needs..(O2), etc.
