sski and thyroid

After using sski for about six months I did not bother to have my thyroid checked. One side effect of sski is a reduction in the out put of the thyroid. So now I am taking something that helps the thyroid and its back to normal. But.its something to regularly check on. Dr Wright mentions it but I forgot all about it.

Thank you for this update. As I remember that was one of the major worries that some of us had when sski was first brought to our attention.

I have had 1/2 of my thyroid removed because of a tumor and I really have to watch the level. I also hear about more people being put on thyroid supplement as they age.

That is the beauty of this forum. We check and recheck and all input helps anyone of us reach that final decision.
